Broken

Never have I understood the words “if things seem too good to be true, they probably are” more than today.

We are broken. Despite driving things forward at an incredible pace since late January, the family finder social worker has severed our link with the siblings for reasons we are yet to know or understand.

We are devastated, not just for us but for the children, in my opinion they have been wronged too. I have nothing else to say.

    1. Well in regard to the support we’re getting from our SWs, but the family finders’ reasons for dropping us seem contradictory and very wooly.

Our SWs have escalated it to their managers (they did that before seeing us). There is little to no hope of them changing their mind, and they’ve destroyed our trust in them.

We should get some more explanations (excuses?) about why we’ve been treated the way we have, but that’s not really going to help. We’re feeling bereaved at the moment. I’m not sure I’m going to continue the blog for now as it’ll probably degenerate into a negative rant.

      1. Take some time to grieve hun. I’m a big believer in fate and if for whatever reasons these children are not the right ones for you, don’t give up…your child is out there and waiting to meet their family, it just might take a little longer x
